Daffodil Hill Childcare
Jesyka has cared for children in Howard County for 25 years, from newborns to teenagers, and is opening a small in-home playschool. She needed one page that said all of that and let a parent book a visit.
- What she needed
- Twenty-five years of work and nothing online. Every family had come by word of mouth, which works until someone gets your name and goes looking. A parent looking for childcare wants to know three things fast: who is this person, what do they offer, and how do I get in touch. The site had to answer those on a phone, in the order a parent asks them.
- What I built
- One page. Her introduction and 25 years of experience up top, then the seven kinds of care she offers, from a few hours of babysitting to overnight newborn care and travel nannying. Her certifications listed plainly, because that is what a parent checks. Photos, reviews from families, a waitlist for the playschool that is opening soon, and a book-a-visit button with her phone number next to it.
- How long it took
- About a week. The build was the short part. Most of it was waiting on photos, which is normal: nobody has their pictures ready, and a childcare site without real photos is not worth publishing.
- What happened after
- The site lives on her own domain, which she already owned, and is hosted on Netlify. A parent who hears her name now has somewhere to go, and the playschool has a way to join the waitlist before it opens.
